Children's Ministry
At St. John’s, children are part of our life together. We love having them on the journey with us and are committed to helping them grow their faith in God’s love.
Children's Church
Children begin worship with the full congregation each Sunday, sharing in the life of their church family. Partway through the service, they are invited to their own time of learning and fellowship, just steps from the sanctuary.
During this time, children explore Bible stories, learn to pray, and become familiar with the rhythms of the church year. Each lesson is interactive and hands on, using art, crafts, and music to help bring it to life.
Parents are always welcome to attend with their children.

Vacation Bible School 2026
This year’s VBS found our children “on the go with God” through a Cokesbury Kids’ curriculum called “Road Trip.” Its key verse – Joshua 1:9 – taught our youngest disciples that God is with them through thick and thin, wherever they go.
Check back here next year in May to find out about our plans for VBS 2027!
Our Leaders
Our program is led by adults with backgrounds in child development and education, who are committed to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
Our Children's Church's assistants come to us from a local childcare company that specializes in serving churches and other organizations with childcare needs. They are carefully screened, as is our staff, and are experienced childcare professionals.
