The Anchors Aweigh Mariners is a group of younger families and couples.
They meet monthly for social or service activities. Sometimes they meet as adults only,
but most occasions are for the whole family.
Each January new members "Tie On" to the ship and select officers for the new year.
Members volunteer to plan each month's activity for the year. A mailing is sent each month
with details of the upcoming activities.
Each year there is an Easter egg hunt and a Christmas party that includes a visit for the
children from Santa.
Each summer a group camping trip is planned. Some people come for several days, and
some just for the weekend or even a single day.
Other social activities have included swimming, sledding, picnics, pot lucks and game nights.
There are also events planned to help carry our 'cargo'. In March we join together with
the other Mariner ships to help raise funds at the Fleet Dinner.
